Prof. Dr. Heinz Klandt

Heinz Klandt is holder of the first German chair for entrepreneurship at the EUROPEAN BUSINESS SCHOOL, International University Schloss Reichartshausen in Oestrich-Winkel/Germany. The “KfW Endowed Chair for Entrepreneurship” was initiated in 1997 by the Minister for Economics. He is director of the bifego entrepreneurship research institute and president of the FGF (Foerderkreis Gruendungs-Forschung: www.FGF-eV.de), both nonprofit organizations, and Country Vice President Germany of the ECSB (European Council for Small Business www.ecsb.org).
In 1992 he started and is continuously serving as director of the yearly IntEnt Internationalizing Entrepreneurship and Training Conference (www.intent-conference.de). In 1997 he also initiated the now leading German speaking G-Forum Entrepreneurship Research Conference (www.G-Forum.de) and the corresponding web-based information platform for academic research and education.
Dr. Klandt served as member of the faculty of the "European Doctoral Programme in Entrepreneurship and Small Business" (Barcelona/Spain), and visiting faculty of the Vlerik Leuven Gent Management School, Belgium. He is member of the advisory/editorial board of “ZfKE Zeitschrift für KMU und Entrepeneurship”, "International Small Business Journal”, “Journal of Management Systems”, “International Journal of Business, Management and Economics”, and associate editor of “Journal of Asia Entrepreneurship and Sustainability”.
He serves also as co-editor of the "FGF Entrepreneurship Monographs" (54 volumes in English and German: and the yearly “Yearbook for Entrepreneurship” (3 volumes, www.springer.com).
Dr. Klandt studied business administration and social psychology at the University of Cologne and wrote his Ph.D.-thesis there about entrepreneurial success factors. He was professor for empirical research methods at the university of Dortmund (1990-1998).
Additionally he authored, co-authored and edited in German and English more than 30 books and over 50 articles mostly in the field of business start-ups and entrepreneurship.

Stefan Golla, Dipl.-Kfm.

Stephan Golla is a doctoral candidate and works as research assistant and lecturer at Prof. Heinz Klandt´s chair for entrepreneurship. His research focus lies on young technology based firms, success factors of innovations and entrepreneurial orientation of graduate students. Since 2001 Stephan lectures the course “Management of Technology Based Firms”. Trough his doctoral thesis Stephan focuses on the relationship between young technology based firms and corporate investors.
He received his graduate degree (ger. Dipl.Kfm.; engl.
equivalent to master of science in business administration) from the Technical University of Freiberg with focus on Banking & Finance, Management of Innovations and Mechanical Engineering, after he has completed a apprenticeship as a bank clerk.
Additionally to his university activities Stephan founded two companies and worked at KPMG Financial Services. Today he works within the INI-Graphics Spin-off committee (Fraunhofer Foundation) and publishes articles in related fields and gives talks on entrepreneurship at national and international conferences.
